Spring is now blossoming in Florence and the Tuscan countryside. Nature – in all its shapes and colors – is celebrated throughout the month of May: in one way or another, flowers, gardens, plants and animals present the scene of Tuscan magical events, invading city parks and lanes of the villages that animate the countryside.

May 1 and 2: Open Doors to Culture. On May 1st, many museums and art sites will be opened exceptionally: the Bargello, the Davanzati Palace and the Museum of the Medici Chapels will be open from 8:15 pm to 2pm, with the entrance allowed until 1:30pm. And while other state museums will not be closed on May 1, they will be open, on the contrary, on Monday 2 May: the Uffizi Gallery (8.15am to 6.00pm), the Boboli Garden, the Costume Gallery and the Argentine Museum Will be open from 8.15 to 18.30, Orsanmichele Church from 10am to 5pm.

Sunday 8 May, a guided tour will lead you to discover one of Europe’s most famous gardens: Pratolino Medici Park, purchased during the second half of the sixteenth century – along with the villa (which no longer exists) – by Francesco I de’ Medici and then restructured by his favorite architect, Bernardo Buontalenti, who created a wonderful place, full of caves, sculptures and statues.

On 10 May, in the Florentine quarter of Scandicci is organized the Festa di San Zanobi, an entire day dedicated to the recurrence of this typical Florentine saint. For this occasion, an historic procession with celebration of the Mass, a pilgrimage to the San Zanobi cave, a party and games for children and adults, is preceded by a week of city events, concerts, exhibitions, shows and sporting events.

From May 12 to 15, the beautiful 17th-century garden of Palazzo Corsini in Florence will host an exhibition – Artigianato e Palazzo – attended by some of the most renowned artisan masters Tuscany, Italy and Europe. Workshops, tutorials, live shows, and all practical demonstrations of ancient manual knowledge and traditional craftsmanship will make this event a sort of exclusive opportunity to try to grasp, or at least partially carve, those fascinating secrets that make the works of these masters. Infiorata

On 29 May in Scarperia, in the heart of Mugello, will be held the traditional Infiorata, artistic-floral exhibition from bizarre and suggestive at the same time. The streets and squares of this beautiful Tuscan resort will in fact be decorated and decorated with paintings made of flower petals by local citizens and traders, following a commonly chosen theme.

From May 28 to June 4, Montespertoli holds one of the most important events of the month: the Montespertoli Chianti Exhibition, which reached its 59th edition. These days, near Florence, as the entrance gate to Chiantishire, will host a fair dedicated to Made in Tuscany and local tradition, with tasting of typical products, conferences, conferences, workshops and historical parades.
