Minimum Rental Period: 7 nights Among the Chianti hills with their olive groves and vineyards, located in a very panoramic position near the famous castle of Santa Maria Novella, there is a group of 4 restored rural houses with 20 apartments. This part of Tuscany belongs to the so-called Florentine Chianti (“Chianti Fiorentino”) which is famous for its beauty. There are small roads winding up the hills and offering amazing views, hamlets and farms which produce wine and olive oil, villages and towns with a rich history, such as Certaldo, the home town of Boccaccio, or the medieval San Gimignano with its famous towers.
The recent restoration of the rural houses respected the original structures and employed the typical Tuscan construction materials: cotto-floors in the rooms, wooden beams in the ceilings, “serena”-stone for stairs and window arches. The apartments are completely furnished and equipped with kitchen, telephone, TV, and independent heating.
A magnificent garden, equipped with tables and chairs, is at the disposal of all guests. In the garden, there is also a swimming pool of 7 x 17 m. The reception offers various services, such as the renting of mountain-bikes and scooters, fax and Internet services, laundry and ironing service.
The nearest village, Marcialla, is at 1 km distance. Here, there are little grocery stores and some excellent restaurants. In the village of Tavernelle, at 5 km distance, there are banks, a supermarket and a pharmacy. Montespertoli, one of the famous Chianti towns, is at 8 km distance, while Florence is 35 and Siena 45 km away. |
